Checking Out – Planet Oat Oatmilk

There are some new items in the Dairy aisle, and they may be a good choice for those who are exploring more plant-based options, have allergies, or cannot enjoy traditional dairy. Today we are checking out Planet Oat Oatmilk! Oat milk alternates have jumped out in front of other non-dairy options, and are getting high marks from consumers for flavor and versatility.

Planet Oat Oatmilk checks a lot of boxes. Typically, oat milks are not gluten free, but this whole line can be enjoyed by those who need or prefer gluten free items. Those with allergies to cow’s milk, soy, or almond milk alternatives can happily embrace this refreshing drink. Added sugars are limited, which appeals to those who are cutting back.  They are also all natural, with no artificial ingredients or colors. Bonus – 2-3 grams of fiber, well known to support heart, cholesterol and digestive health. The fiber also adds to the creamy, rich texture.

Delicious and adaptable, Planet Oat Oatmilks may be used in a variety of ways – cooking, baking, as a coffee creamer, smoothie base and more – check out the recipes on their website for inspiration! They are a natural fit for overnight oats – the combination of oatmeal and oat milk added rich flavor depth to my breakfast. My family also enjoyed the Dark Chocolate and the Vanilla Oat Milk. An excellent source of Calcium, Vitamin D, B12 and Riboflavin, and up to 3 grams of protein, it is a solid healthful beverage option for kids and adults. Enjoy!
