  • Students work alongside a culinary educator to prepare the menu, and then enjoy the food prepared about 1-2 hours into the session. Two servings of wine or beer are included at adult classes. (Must be 21 years of age with proper ID.) Adult classes last 3 hours.

Children’s classes are hands-on and last 2 hours. Age appropriate techniques are used to prepare recipes that students enjoy during class.

Adult classes usually have 12 students, but can accommodate up to 15. Children’s classes have 10 to 12 students depending on age.

Children’s cooking classes have two levels: “Taste Bud” for children 5-8 and “Junior Chef” for ages 9 and over. You must be at least 18 to attend an adult class. (15-17 when accompanied with a paying adult.) We are sorry but children under 5 may not participate.

You must register and prepay in advance. Classes often sell out so register early.

Register your child here. Adults are not required to register themselves when signing up a child. A responsible adult is required to complete a consent form when dropping off children.

For Taste Bud classes: Parents may stay and observe the class if desired without purchasing a seat. A parent or guardian must remain in the store during class.
For Junior Chef classes: A parent or guardian is required to drop-off and pick-up the child, but does not need to remain in the store.

It is not common for adults to take a class with a child, however, if you wish to participate, both of you will need to register. If you stay in the room and just observe, you don’t need to register.

By Student: If you are unable to attend and notify us at least 72 hours in advance, you may choose to receive a full refund or credit towards a future class or you can also choose to send a substitute in your place. Refunds or credit will not be issued if cancellation is not received within the time frame stated.
By The Cooking School: We reserve the right to cancel classes for any reason. If we cancel, you will be notified as soon as possible and a refund issued.

In the unlikely event that weather conditions require cancellation, each customer will be called as early as possible and a full refund given.

You do not need to bring anything to class. Aprons will be provided. Closed-toed shoes should be worn. We also recommend tying back long hair. Please arrive 5-10 minutes early to sign in.

No alcohol can be brought into the cooking school. Our liquor license allows us to provide two servings of wine or beer to each adult in class (must be over 21 years of age with a valid ID.)
