Connecticut allows those who reside, work or study in person to be vaccinated. Those that live, work or study in person in the state of CT and are 18+ can be vaccinated in our pharmacies with the Janssen/Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 Vaccine. If you are under 18 years of age you will need to find an alternate vaccine provider.
All individuals 16 years of age and older who live or work in Connecticut are eligible to receive vaccine. This includes students who are currently living in Connecticut during this school year as well, for instance at boarding schools, colleges and universities. This does not include fully remote out of state students attending school in Connecticut. Please note that our pharmacies only carry Moderna or Janssen vaccine which is for those 18+. If you are 16 or 17 please visit an alternate vaccine Provider.

Vaccine availability is dependent on state allocations and shipments. Every day new appointment slots become available. In addition, if there is a cancellation those appointment times become available in real time. Check back daily for updates. Please note that you will be required to complete the assessment to verify eligibility every time you log in to check for an appointment slot. It is important that appointments are not reserved for those that are not eligible. Insurance and primary care provider are optional fields and do not need to be entered every time.
Our pharmacies may carry the Moderna and/or the Janssen/Johnson & Johnson vaccine. Our supply is based on what we are allocated by the government. As a result, at this time, we cannot guarantee which vaccine will be administered at the time of your appointment, provided that if you have received the first dose of the Moderna vaccine, you will receive the second dose of that vaccine.
Eligible groups, based on recommendations from the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) and the Governor’s vaccine advisory group are:
• Paid and unpaid people serving in healthcare settings with potential for direct or indirect exposure to patients of infectious materials.
Medical First Responders:
• Individuals who respond to medical 911 calls and face risk of exposure to COVID-19.
Long-Term Care Facility Residents:
• Adults who reside in facilities that provide a range of services, including medical and personal care, to persons who are unable to live independently.
Residents and Staff of select congregate settings:
• Staff and residents of halfway homes, inpatient mental health facilities, correction facilities, homeless shelters, domestic violence shelters, substance use and residential treatment facilities along with others.
Individuals 45 and Older:
• Residents and workers within the State of CT who are 45+.
Educators and Child Care Providers:
• Pre-K-12 Teachers, paraprofessionals, custodial staff, food service providers, school bus drivers and childcare providers as well as in-school administrative staff. Does not include individuals who are not required to work on-site in a school.

Who should be vaccinated?
Moderna & Janssen COVID-19 vaccine are approved for adults 18 years of age and older with no contraindications to the vaccine.
Individuals 16 and Older: Residents and workers within the State of CT who are 16+.
Please note that our pharmacies carry the Janssen COVID-19 Vaccine which is for those that are 18+.
Who should not be vaccinated?
Those with an allergy to a component of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine, an allergy to the Pfizer or Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine (mRNA COVID-19 vaccines). See Pharmacist for more information.
What side effects are expected after the vaccine?
Pain, swelling, and redness at the injection site is common. You may also experience chills, tiredness, and headache.
