Market 32 and Price Chopper, Freihofer’s Baking Company Raise Over $19,000 for the Alzheimer’s Association

Customer-driven campaign helps advance research, care, and support services

Market 32 and Price Chopper, in partnership with Freihofer’s Baking Company, today announced a donation of $19,079 to the Alzheimer’s Association following a two-month in-store fundraising campaign. The donation was celebrated during a ceremonial check presentation at the Clifton Park Shoppers World Market 32 in Clifton Park, N.Y.*

With each participating Freihofer’s product purchased throughout May and June, Market 32 and Price Chopper and Freihofer’s jointly donated ten cents to the Alzheimer’s Association, helping fund programs and services for individuals and families impacted by the disease.

“Supporting organizations that improve the health and well-being of our communities is an important part of our mission to nourish life,” said Blaine Bringhurst, president of Market 32 and Price Chopper. “We’re grateful to our customers and to Freihofer’s Baking Company for helping make this campaign a success. Together, we’re providing meaningful support for the Alzheimer’s Association’s efforts to advance research, expand resources, and offer hope to those navigating the challenges of Alzheimer’s disease.”

According to the Alzheimer’s Association, more than 7 million Americans are currently living with the disease, a number expected to increase significantly in the coming decades. Funds raised through this campaign will help advance research, advocacy, education, and support services for individuals and caregivers affected by dementia.

“We are truly grateful for this generous donation toward advancing our mission of a world without Alzheimer’s disease and all other dementia,” said David Sobel, executive director of the Northeastern New York Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association. “Support from community partners such as Market 32 and Price Chopper, as well as Freihofer’s, is especially meaningful as we work to provide the best resources to local individuals and families affected by dementia. We encourage anyone in need of assistance to call our 24/7 Helpline at 800-272-3900.”

The campaign reflects Market 32 and Price Chopper’s longstanding commitment to health and wellness and to supporting organizations that make a meaningful difference in the lives of customers, families, and communities.
