Market 32 and Price Chopper Bring Local, Award-Winning Smith's Smokeshack & Kitchen to Stores
New homemade pulled pork and ribs feature Smith’s signature Soul Sauce
Schenectady, N.Y., August 6, 2026– Market 32 and Price Chopper are bringing the taste of locally-owned Smith’s Smokeshack & Kitchen to shelves with the introduction of tender, slow-cooked pulled pork and ribs available now in the prepared foods section at select stores. The products are prepared using Smith’s signature Soul Sauce #1, a slightly smoky, sweet, and tangy recipe that recently earned top honors at the Albany Food and Wine Festival.
Customers in New York’s Capital Region will have the opportunity to try the barbecue favorites in stores during a sampling tour with Smith’s Smokeshack & Kitchen Founder Tim Smith, which kicks off Sunday, August 9 from noon to 3 p.m. at the Latham Market 32 location.

The launch marks a new chapter for Tim Smith and his Smith’s Smokeshack, which began in 2012 as a passion for backyard barbecuing and grew into a popular food truck operation serving thousands of customers across New York’s Capital Region and beyond. Known for its small-batch sauces and seasonings, Smith’s signature approach to barbecue is “smoke and soul from the heart.”
