Honoring Memorial Day

How are you honoring Memorial Day this weekend?  Are you attending any summer BBQs to kick off the summer season, visiting a memorial site or going to a parade?  Tell us how you are remembering and honoring this national holiday.  Memorial Day is celebrated at Arlington National Cemetery with a ceremony in which a small American Flag is placed on each grave.  It is also customary for the President or Vice President to give a speech honoring the contributions of the fallen and lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. At your local Price Chopper this Monday from 7am-7pm you can enjoy a free 12 oz. coffee and donut on us to honor all who have served our country.  Our floral department is also making an effort to support our veterans.  The Honor Flight Network is a non-profit organization created to honor American’s veterans for all their sacrifices.  They transport our many heroes to Washington, D.C. so that they have the opportunity to visit and reflect at their memorials.  When you purchase this bouquet for only $7.99, partial proceeds will benefit this great organization and cause. Send us a photo who you’re honoring this Memorial Day and you could be chosen to receive a $50 Price Chopper gift card!  Send us your photos and a short story to [email protected] and we will display them on our Facebook page this Memorial Day weekend!  Read official rules here.
