Savor Every Moment this Summer with a Clean Grill!

What’s better than beautiful weather? The smell of the grill fired up as you enjoy that beautiful weather! Grilling is more than just making dinner. It’s how we spend time enjoying the season, soaking up the sun and getting outside in the fresh air. The best way to enjoy summer grilling is with fresh, clean grill grates: Check out our grill cleaning tips below for some inspiration to freshen up your grilling palate! Tip #1: Use a Vinegar Wash Barbecue Fire Grill close-up Vinegar is great for cleaning grills because of how acidic it is. The acid helps to break down the grime, allowing you to scrub it off a lot easier. So, after diluting the vinegar with an equal amount of water (try 1 cup of each) and mixing it in a spray bottle, spray the grill rack. Make sure you get all of it pretty well to make the scrubbing as easy as possible. After letting it dry for about 10 minutes, scrub away! You’ll be all set with nothing harmful left behind. Tip #2: Use a Baking Soda Scrub Baking soda is perfect for cleaning the grill. It’s super easy too! Just get your brush wet, sprinkle on some baking soda, and scrub away! The baking soda will work to take away the stains the same way it works to remove odors. Using vinegar here can also help speed up the process, since the vinegar will break down the grease and help make scrubbing easier. Cleaning the Grill Tip #3: Use an Onion Wash This one may seem a little strange, but it works! After getting the grill really hot, cut an onion in half and use it to scrub off all the unwanted leftovers from your last barbecue. The acid in the onion, when heated, works to break down all the remains. For added help, throw some lemon juice on the grates as well. The extra acidity will help to break down that grease even more. There you have it! The holiday weekend is upon us and summer is right around the corner: Next time you head to your store’s meat department and bring home some of our Gourmet or Sweet Onion burger patties to throw on your grill, don’t forget to make sure it’s thoroughly cleaned. Cheers to warm weather and summer grilling!
