Beer and Food Pairing at the Gideon Putnam Hotel!

Want to win a beer and food pairing dinner at the Gideon Putnam hotel in Saratoga? Our Saratoga summer giveaways are winding down but we have one more exciting contest for our fans, courtesy of Heineken!  Do you like to pair different beers with certain foods?  If so, we have the perfect event for you!  Tell us your favorite beer and food combination for a chance to win four tickets to an evening beer and food pairing dinner at the Gideon Putnam hotel in Saratoga!  One of the talented chefs at Putnam’s restaurant will personally suggest and recommend different beer and food pairings—sure to please anyone’s palate!  The dinner will be held on September 29th and four invitations will be sent to the winner!     Soft pretzels with a beer infused mustard dipping sauce.. with more beer on the side!

  4. seared ahi tuna with a sesame soy ginger marinade…paired with a good IPA, preferably semi-local (Davidson Brothers is a good one!)

    A medium-well Omaha Steals burger on an onion roll with sweet potato fries and an amber ale or seasonal fall brew (pumpkin or apricot ale go great)

    my hubby works 2 jobs so I can stay home with our 10 month twin boys- he deserves a nice cold beer with a big fat burger! His absolute favorite is a Black and tan with a swiss mushroom burger and a side of cajun fries with cheese. 🙂

    Weekends yard work…Ice cold Corona light slice/lemon in beer. Sliced potatoes in foil seasoned with garlic,italian seasonings,butter wraped and put on bbq. Choped boneless pork marinated in Jerk sauce, put on skewers and placed on bbq with side of fresh veggies on grate and bbq’ed. 🙂

    When doing a pig roast u must pour beer and old bay all over and inside of the pig b4 u wrap in in foil and chicken wire and put on a wood smoker for hours until it falls right apart. Beer and food in a differant since. And everyone can eat it cuse the alchole all cooks out and u just have a awsome flavor.

    I love a real Mexican beer (and I’m not talking Corona!) such as Bohemia or Modelo paired with almost any authentic Mexican dish! Fresh guac is a must have, with ceviche and/or fish tacos near the top of the list!

    Beer beef fajitas (crockpot recipe) cooked in Killians and then served to eat with a Landshark beer on the side. Yummmmmy! Making my mouth water as I type it!
