Cooking up some Classics!

Price Chopper was so excited to partner with Cook’s Ham for our first blogger event held in our Latham, NY store last week.  We welcomed 9 talented and creative “mommy bloggers” from across the Northeast to join us for an afternoon of delicious ham, meal preparation tips, and idea sharing.  Many of these women have connected with us on Facebook and Twitter, and often share their Price Chopper experiences with their followers.  Between Cook’s mouth-watering ham and our collection of Central Market Classics products (our premium line of store brands), we were able to serve up some new and innovative twists on on a family favorite.

The representatives from Cook’s carved up a spiral ham with a raisin chutney glaze.  One of our attendees, Beth, captured the different dishes we sampled on her blog,  The Angel Forever

  • Slice of the Cook’s spiral ham
  • Piece of ham steak
  • Pasta salad with ham pieces in it
  • Panini sandwich with ham, cheese , Price Chopper black olives and Central Market Classics Roasted Red Piquillo Peppers
  • “Ham Tacos” – Price Chopper crescent rolls with Central Market Classics Dijon Mustard, ham, Price Chopper sliced provolone cheese, and a slice of apple
  • The bloggers were then challenged to shop the store and come up with 3 meals they could make with a Cook’s ham.  Everyone shared their meal ideas and each blogger thought up some really unique dishes that sounded excellent!  We sent everyone home with a goodie bag of some of our favorite Central Market Classics products, a gorgeous spring floral arrangement from Central Market Classics floral shop, new friends, and lots of information about Cook’s Ham and Price Chopper!  We also included a booklet with more ideas on what you can make with our Central Market Classics products.

If you are a fan of our Central Market Classics products, or any of our store brands, you can be eligible to win free groceries for a year every time you purchase 10 products from any of our store brand collections.  Learn more about the sweepstakes here.
